Unlike a normal gym (where you walk about looking for the next available machine or with the next beach body workout from men’s health magazine infront of you) all you need to do is turn up every day and work through a well designed CrossFit program (normally 8-12 weeks program).
You will never get bored, you will learn new movements and also work on your weakness.

So what is the “On Ramp” beginners course?
The beginner course or “On Ramp” as CrossFit Elviria call it works over a 3 week period, training Monday, Wednesday and Friday at either 10:30 in the morning or 19:00hrs in the evening in a group environment.
The emphasis of the “On Ramp” is on skill development and exposure to CrossFit’s basic movements. It is designed to prepare you to enter the on-going CrossFit Classes at the end of the month.
Emphasis is on technique to ensure your safety and success at the next level.
First, you will be introduced to technique; this is followed by consistency; and when you’re ready, and only then, to intensity.
The first exercises that you will be shown are relatively non-technical. As you move on and become more adept, the exercises become progressively more technical.
It’s important that you are there for each of the 9 x 1 hour sessions as these movements are accumulative; they build on one another. There will be a workout at the end of each day (WOD – work out of the day) which will become more challenging as the course progresses.
The difficulty of these WOD’s / workouts is, ultimately, in your hands. The degree to which you push yourself will determine how much you gain.
The class is called “On Ramp” as the aim is to ramp you up to the level of intensity and output that is inherent in these group classes.
Shifts in body composition are one of the most motivating ways to measure success. You are highly encouraged to take “before” pictures at the beginning of the first “On Ramp” class so you can see your progress.
“On Ramp” times are every Mon, Wed & Fri @ 10:30 and 19:00hrs.
